In the second year's second semester, I opted to specialize in concept and spatiality. The project brief was intriguing: 'Select a location within Belgium and conceive a residence for two, capped at 200 cubic meters, with an emphasis on sustainability.' And thus, my exploration began...

My attention was captivated by Fort Hazegras, a bunker zone nestled in the Hazegras region, close to the Zwin in Knokke-Heist municipality. The landscape resonated with me instantly, inspiring the concept of a bunker-style dwelling. Given the expansive nature of the area, I meticulously analyzed the site before settling on a waterborne location for my design. This choice allowed me to envision a dwelling that seemingly floats atop the water, with sections embedded in the earth, paying homage to its bunker roots.
